Area(s) of Research Interest: Sean is a comparativist studying sectarian and ethnic conflict in the Levant and Central Africa. His work focuses on minority groups in times of civil war, and he has done field work in Lebanon, Turkey, Rwanda, the DRC and on the Tunisian-Libyan border. He speaks French and Arabic and is learning Swahili.
